National Library Week Celebration at PMSHRIJNVEGH with a mock book fair

PMSHRIJNVEGH celebrated National Library Week with great enthusiasm and creativity. The week-long event highlighted the importance of reading and libraries in fostering lifelong learning and was marked by a series of engaging activities.
The highlight of the celebration was a mock book fair organized by the student members of the school's Readers Club under the expert guidance of Ms. Tumpa Saha, TGT Library. The book fair aimed to simulate a real-world experience, encouraging students to explore, curate, and promote books of various genres.
During the event, students transformed the school corridor into a vibrant marketplace for books. They set up stalls showcasing different genres, including fiction, non-fiction, biographies, science, and regional literature.
The mock book fair served as a platform for students to develop essential skills such as communication, teamwork, and marketing. Ms. Tumpa Saha, in her address, emphasized the role of libraries in nurturing young minds and highlighted the importance of such initiatives in promoting reading habits among students. She commended the Readers Club members for their efforts in making the event a grand success.
The National Library Week celebration at PMSHRIJNVEGH, not only ignited a love for reading among students but also strengthened the library's role as a cornerstone of education and knowledge.
