JNV EGH Commemorates Kargil Vijay Diwas with a Moving Morning Assembly

On July 26, 2024, JNV EGH observed Kargil Vijay Diwas with a deeply affecting morning assembly, dedicated to honoring the sacrifices made by Indian soldiers during the Kargil War of 1999. 
The assembly began with an engaging drama performance by the students, which vividly depicted the historical significance of Kargil Vijay Diwas. The drama illustrated the courage and sacrifices made by the soldiers, including the heart-wrenching stories of their lives. A notable part of the drama was the portrayal of Captain Vikram Batra, whose courageous actions and ultimate sacrifice were brought to life with moving detail.
Class 9 student Steyra delivered an outstanding performance as GunjanSaxena, capturing the spirit of her bravery and resilience. Her portrayal was a heartfelt tribute to the valor of the soldiers, reflecting both their heroism and the deep personal sacrifices involved.
The assembly concluded with an enlightening speech by Mr. Shivam Gupta (PGT History), who provided a comprehensive overview of the Kargil War. The speech emphasized the significance of remembering and honoring the sacrifices of the soldiers, underscoring the values of courage and patriotism that they represent.
It not only educated the students about a significant chapter in Indian military history but also instilled a profound sense of gratitude and respect for the nation's defenders.
