Fostering Unity and Patriotism: Celebrating Rashtriya Ekta Diwas at JNV EGH

JNVEGH celebrated Rashtriya Ekta Diwas also known as National Unity Day, on 31st October to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel, a key figure in India's struggle for independence and the visionary responsible for uniting the princely states

into a single, unified nation. The celebration began with the lightening of

lamp and offering of garlands to the portrait of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel by the SMT Mr. Madhumangal Biswas (PGT English). It was followed by an inspiring speech by Mr. Shivam (PGT History).All the teachers and students of JNV Williamnagar took the unity pledge or Ekta Shapath in the morning assembly conducted on 31st October. It will help to create a sense of belonging to a larger Indian family and instill values of unity, integrity and patriotism in the hearts of the students from diverse backgrounds, making the unity pledge all the more relevant.
