Empowering Talent: Prerna Utsav at JNV WILLIAMNAGAR Celebrates Creativity

On 25th April, 2024, JNV  Williamnagar, proudly hosted the District-Level Prerna Utsav,  a grand celebration of talent and creativity that brought together students from across East Garo Hills. The event served as a platform for students to showcase their skills and foster a sense of camaraderie and unity among participants. The programme kicked off with a warm welcome speech by Ms. Disha Yadav (TGT PET), setting the tone for the day's festivities.  It was followed by a solemn moment as the Principal and esteemed chief guests lit the ceremonial lamp, symbolizing the enlightenment that comes from knowledge and education. Mr. Ravi Kant (Principal), in a gesture of gratitude and respect, felicitated the chief guests, DSEO ma'am of East Garo Hills and the community mobilizer, with a plant and traditional Garo  pandya, signifying the rich cultural heritage of the region. The judges were also honored with Assamese gamocha, a symbol of hospitality and honor by Mr. Madu Mangal Biswas ( PGT English and SMT). As the event unfolded, class XII students of JNV Williamnagar captivated the audience with a soulful welcome song, showcasing the musical prowess and harmony that resonated throughout the campus. To ensure fairness and impartiality, two panels of judges were assembled, comprising both external experts Smt. Topsey Ch Momin, Smt. Tesilchi N Sangma, Shri Cassini T Suiam, and Smt. Sarda Barman and faculty members from JNV Williamnagar, Mr. Rajkamal Bairwa ( TGT Hindi) and Mr. N Rameschandra( TGT Art). Their collective expertise and discerning eye played a crucial role in evaluating the performances and selecting the deserving winners in each category.  Successful students who excelled in their respective competitions earned the opportunity to participate in the second level interview session, where they could further demonstrate their skills and abilities. This additional round provided a platform for students to showcase their potential and vie for recognition at a higher level. Prerna Utsav served as a reminder of the importance of nurturing talent and providing opportunities for young minds to flourish.
