JNV Williamnagar celebrated the sixth day of Shiksha Saptah with a special event, a heartfelt plantation drive titled 'Plant for Mother' organized by the Eco Club under the Mission LiFE initiative. This event, aimed at fostering a connection between students, their mothers, and the environment, saw an enthusiastic participation from the school community.
The plantation drive took place in key areas of the campus, including outside the staff room and behind the mess. Students, along with their mothers, planted trees, each marked with a nameplate displaying the names of the students alongwith the names of their mother symbolizing their commitment to nurturing the environment and fostering a sense of ownership and responsibility towards nature. By encouraging students to plant and care for trees, the event aimed to instill a sense of responsibility and environmental stewardship. Some Parent-Teacher Committee (PTC) members joined in the plantation drive, further emphasizing the communal effort towards ecological sustainability and education.
The Eco Club's efforts under Mission LiFE demonstrate JNV Williamnagar's dedication to promoting environmental awareness and fostering strong family bonds.
