JNV Williamnagar recently hosted a spirited sports event under the banner of
Shiksha Saptah. The event, held on July 24, 2024, featured a diverse array of sports aimed at promoting physical fitness and fostering a joyful learning environment, echoing the principles set forth by the National Education Policy (
NEP)
2020. The event showcased a blend of traditional and modern sports. Indigenous sports like Lahori and the Marble Game provided a
nostalgic touch. Meanwhile, strategic minds were tested in an intense game of Chess, while teamwork and athleticism took center stage in the thrilling Hockey match. A total of 300 students enthusiastically engaged in the friendly competition matches, including students
from the class VIA and VIB. This inclusive approach not only promoted healthy competition but also strengthened the bonds of camaraderie among the participants, fostering a sense of unity
among the newcomers.
By blending tradition with modernity and competition with camaraderie, the event not only celebrated sportsmanship but also reinforced the values of joyous learning.At its core, the event embodied the spirit of NEP 2020, which emphasizes the holistic development of students through enjoyable learning experiences.
