Celebrating Partition Horrors Remembrance Day at PMSHRI JNV Williamnagar

In a poignant and reflective event, JNV Williamnagar observed Partition Horrors Remembrance Day, shedding light on the
tragic impacts of the 1947 partition. The day began with a powerful speech by Mr. Shivam Gupta (PGT History), who emphasized the historical significance of remembering the partition's horrors. His address provided a deep context for understanding the day’s commemoration, urging students and staff to appreciate the gravity of the partition's legacy. 
Following this, migration students of Class IX delivered a moving drama that captured the emotional essence of the partition. The performance staged two narratives: one depicting the plight of a family from Sindh and the other from
Punjab. The drama offered a vivid portrayal of the suffering and displacement faced by countless families during the partition, making a significant impact on the audience.
Principal Sir, Mr. Ravi Kant concluded the event with a heartwarming speech, reflecting on the importance of acknowledging the past while fostering a sense of unity and empathy among the students. His words underscored the value of remembering historical tragedies to build a more compassionate future. 
The day’s activities were rounded off with an exhibition set up in the school corridor  by Ms. Disha Yadav ( TGT PE Female).
This display provided additional insights into the partition's impact, featuring artifacts, photographs that enriched the students' understanding of the day’s significance. The observance at JNV Williamnagar was a meaningful tribute to the lives affected by the partition, blending education with heartfelt commemoration.
