On August 23, 2024, PMSHRI JNV EGH marked National Space Day with a special morning assembly. The event featured a series of speeches aimed at deepening students' understanding of space exploration and inspiring future scientists.
Class 8 student Andrew Agassi kicked off the assembly with an inspiring speech on National Space Day, highlighting the day’s purpose and its relevance to modern science. Following Andrew, Mr. Adil Sultan (TGT Science) addressed the assembly, discussing key space-related issues and emphasizing the pivotal roles of NASA and ISRO in advancing our understanding of space.
Mr. Purnendu Sanki (PGT Physics) then took the floor to explain the origins of National Space Day and emphasize the contributions of notable Indian space researchers. The speech featured prominent figures such as Kalpana Chawla and Sunita Williams, celebrating their achievements and impact on the field of space science.
Concluding the assembly, Principal Sir Mr. Ravi Kant encouraged students to pursue careers in space research. He spoke about the exciting prospects of the profession and motivated the students to explore further by visiting the library to enhance their knowledge and satisfy their curiosity about space.
