Celebrating Bharatiya Bhasha Utsav at PMSHRIJNVEGH: A Showcase of Garo Language and Culture

The much-anticipated Bharatiya Bhasha Utsav at PMSHRIJNVEGH was celebrated with great enthusiasm and cultural pride. This event, dedicated to fostering an appreciation for India’s rich linguistic diversity, saw students engaging in a variety of creative and educational activities. Among the highlights of the event was the presentation of charts on tense and months in the Garo language, a prominent language spoken in Meghalaya and other parts of the Northeast.
The students, under the guidance of their teachers Ms. Panmenira R Marak ( TGT Garo), and Mr. Samson (TGT Garo) prepared detailed charts illustrating the grammatical structure of Garo, focusing specifically on the tense system and the names of months in the language.
The event was more than just an academic exercise; it was a celebration of the rich cultural tapestry that India offers. It was a reminder of the power of language in connecting people to their history, culture, and community.
